NEW DELHI:Bharti Airtel has hiked its postpaid mobile tariffs by Rs 50 across all slabs, while adding a free annual international roaming benefit for users.
The revised tariffs will come into effect from October 8, with prices seeing an increase of around 3 to 11 per cent.
As per the revised structure, the entry-level individual postpaid plan will now cost Rs 499 per month, up from Rs 449 earlier, an increase of about 11 per cent.
For family plans, the two-SIM plan will now be priced at Rs 749, up from Rs 699, while the three-SIM plan will cost Rs 1,049 against Rs 999 earlier.
Similarly, four-SIM family plans have been raised from Rs 1,199 to Rs 1,249 and from Rs 1,399 to Rs 1,449. The five-SIM family plan will now cost Rs 1,799, up from Rs 1,749 earlier.
While the hike is uniform at Rs 50 across slabs, the percentage impact is higher on lower-priced plans.
Along with the tariff hike, Airtel has introduced one complimentary international roaming trip per SIM every year across its postpaid plans.
The five-day roaming pack will include 5GB data, 60 minutes of calls, 25 outgoing SMS and free incoming SMS. Customers can activate the pack at a time of their choice and it will not be auto-activated. On family plans, each member will be eligible for one free international trip annually.
The revised plans will continue to offer existing benefits including unlimited data and calling, Fast Lane technology and network-level protection against spam and fraudulent links. Depending on the plan, users will also get subscriptions to OTT and other services including Amazon Prime, JioHotstar, Xstream Play Premium, Google One, Apple Music, Apple iCloud+ and Netflix.
The new plans will be available to both new and existing Airtel customers from October 8. Existing users can upgrade via the Airtel Thanks App or Airtel stores, while users from other operators can port to Airtel Postpaid.
