PALANDRI:Thousands of people marched through the streets of Palandri in Sudhanoti district of Pakistan occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoJK) on Thursday, responding to the ongoing shutter-down strike call given by the Jammu Kashmir Joint Awami Action Committee (JKJAAC).
According to local reports, markets and business establishments remained shut as the strike paralyzed normal life in several areas.
Demonstrators were seen raising demands for fundamental human rights, fair tariffs and an end to alleged state suppression. The protest march remained peaceful, with participants demanding resolution of public issues.
The Jammu Kashmir Joint Awami Action Committee has been spearheading the protest over a charter of demands including public welfare issues. A total shutdown has been reported in several parts of the region over the past few days.
