SRINAGAR :
In a major action against cross-border terror network, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) has attached a residential property in Srinagar which was allegedly used to harbour Pakistani terrorists of Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT).

Officials said the property located at Khasra No. 315, Village Danihama, Hazratbal, Srinagar belongs to accused *Ghulam Mohammad Mir @ Mama Gas* and has been attached under *Section 25 of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, 1967* after obtaining approval of the Director General, NIA.

The action is linked to case *RC-02/2026/NIA/JMU* which relates to a cross-border conspiracy hatched by proscribed terror outfit LeT.

The case was initially registered as *FIR No. 24/2026 dated March 31, 2026* at Police Station Zakoora, Srinagar and was later taken over by NIA.

As per investigation, a search was conducted on *6th April 2026* at the residence of Mir at Danihama. During the search, two suspected Pakistani terrorists identified as *Abu Huraira and Khubaib*, allegedly affiliated with LeT, were found hiding in the premises.

The search team also recovered explosive-like substance, digital devices and other incriminating material from the house.

Investigation has established that the accused had knowingly provided his residential premises as a safe haven for the foreign terrorists and allowed it to be used for facilitating their activities and concealing material connected with the terror network.

According to NIA, probe has exposed a network of local Over Ground Workers (OGWs) working in coordination with Pakistan-based LeT handlers to facilitate infiltration, movement, shelter and logistical support to Pakistani terrorists for carrying out attacks on government establishments, security forces and civilians.

Further investigation is continuing to identify other OGWs, facilitators and persons linked to Pakistan-based handlers.
