KATRA :On the sacred first day of Shardiya Navratri, an extraordinary surge of devotion was witnessed at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi shrine in Katra, Jammu & Kashmir.
On the auspicious beginning of Navratri, a large number of devotees from across the country arrived at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Temple for darshan and worship.
The entire atmosphere on the track and at the Bhawan echoed with chants of “Mata Rani ki Jai” and was filled with devotional spirit. Long queues of devotees were seen since early morning waiting for darshan.
Meanwhile, the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Bhawan has been adorned with beautiful and colourful lights on the occasion of Navratri. The grand decoration and illumination of the Bhawan has become the centre of attraction for devotees.
The Shrine Board has made elaborate arrangements for the heavy rush of pilgrims during the nine-day Navratri festival.
