Jammu:
The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has registered an FIR against former Assistant Commissioner (Revenue), Jammu, Nisar Ahmad Shad, and four private beneficiaries for allegedly facilitating the illegal transfer of Gair Mumkin Khad land in Jammu.
The case stems from a preliminary enquiry which found that during his tenure as ACR Jammu in 2018, the official allegedly granted nine permissions for the transfer of land at Chowadi and Deeli in violation of revenue laws, government directives and High Court orders.
The enquiry also revealed that the permissions were purportedly issued with the approval of the Deputy Commissioner, Jammu, but verification found no such approval, note sheet or delegation order on record. An FIR has been registered and further investigation is underway.
