Katra: Reasi Police has achieved a significant success in solving a mobile theft case registered at Police Station Katra and recovered all four stolen mobile phones, including a high-end iPhone 16 Pro, having an approximate total value of ₹1.20 lakh.
On 07.09.2026, complainant Raja Babu S/o Punni Lal Sah, R/o East Delhi, approached Police Station Katra and reported that four mobile phones had been stolen from his bag while he was proceeding towards Shri Mata Vaishno Devi.
Acting promptly on the complaint, FIR No. 287/2026 under Section 303(2) BNS was registered at Police Station Katra, and investigation was initiated.
During the course of investigation, the police team worked on available leads and succeeded in identifying and apprehending the accused, namely Shahi Kumar S/o Bharat Bhushan, R/o Akhli, Tehsil Katra, District Reasi.
On his disclosure and during further investigation, all four stolen mobile phones were recovered, comprising one iPhone 16 Pro and three Android mobile phones. The approximate total value of the recovered property is ₹1,20,000.
