JAMMU :Government of Jammu and Kashmir, General Administration Department (GAD) has ordered transfer and postings of 12 IAS, IPS and JKAS officers with immediate effect, vide Government Order No. 1718-JK(GAD) and 1719-JK(GAD) of 2026 dated 31.10.2026.
The orders have been issued by Commissioner/Secretary to the Government M. Raju, IAS, By Order of the Lieutenant Governor.
*A. IAS/IPS OFFICERS - Order No. 1718-JK(GAD) of 2026:*
*1. Sh. Shailendra Kumar, IAS (AGMUT:1995), Financial Commissioner (Addl Chief Secretary), Finance Department* shall also hold the additional charge of Administrative Secretary, *Agriculture Production Department*, till further orders.
*2. Sh. Anil Kumar Singh, IAS (AGMUT:1995), Financial Commissioner (Addl Chief Secretary), Public Works (R&B) Department,* shall also hold the additional charge of Administrative Secretary, *Power Development Department*, till further orders.
*3. Sh. Vikramjit Singh, IPS (AGMUT:2004), Commissioner/Secretary to the Government, Industries and Commerce Department,* shall also hold the additional charge of Administrative Secretary, *Mining Department*, till further orders.
*4. Sh. Mir Tariq Ali, IAS (AGMUT:2010), Director General, Women Child Development, J&K* is transferred and posted as *Secretary in the Department, Civil Aviation Department.*
*5. Sh. Mohammad Akbar Wani, IAS (AGMUT:2013), Director, Social Welfare, Kashmir* is transferred and posted as *Secretary in the Department, Forest, Ecology and Environment Department.*
*6. Ms. Leena Padha, IAS (AGMUT), Registrar, Cooperative Societies, J&K* is assigned the charge of *Mission Director, Skill Development Mission*, in addition to her own duties, till further orders.
*B. JKAS OFFICERS - Order No. 1719-JK(GAD) of 2026:*
*1. Sh. Khalid Majeed, JKAS, Special Secretary to the Government, School Education Department,* is transferred and posted as *Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC), Baramulla* against an available vacancy.
*2. Sh. Udham Dass, JKAS, Additional Secretary in the Lieutenant Governor's Secretariat* is transferred and posted as *Joint Chief Executive Officer, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board (SMVDSB)* vice Sh. Satish Kumar, JKAS who shall await further order of adjustment in the General Administration Department.
*3. Sh. Mohd. Raiyaz, JKAS, Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM), Karnah-Tangdhar* is transferred and shall await further order of adjustment in the General Administration Department.
*4. Dr. Amit Kumar, JKAS, Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Padder* is transferred and posted as *Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Marh* relieving Sh. Mukhter Ahmad, JKAS of the additional charge.
*5. Sh. Daljeet Singh, JKAS, Tehsildar Sunderbani* is transferred and posted as *Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Padder.*
*6. Sh. Firdous Ahmad Qadri, JKAS, Tehsildar Bandipora* is transferred and posted as *Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Karnah-Tangdhar.*
Both orders state "In the interest of administration".
