NEW DELHI:The Supreme Court will hear on Monday a batch of petitions seeking resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar amid controversy over Special Intensive Revision (SIR) exercise.
A bench comprising Chief Justice Surya Kant and Justices Joymalya Bagchi and V. Mohana is scheduled to hear pleas filed by Rakesh Kumar Singh and advocate Shailendra Mani Tripathi seeking suspension of CEC.
The petitions have been filed amid row over special intensive revision being undertaken by Election Commission.
