SRINAGAR : The Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) has announced scheduled power shutdowns in various parts of Kashmir Valley for urgent maintenance and repair works on grids and transmission lines.
Chief Engineer, Distribution, KPDCL has informed that the shutdowns will be observed on different dates and feeders, affecting supply during daytime hours.
*Area-wise shutdown schedule is as under:*
*20 October 2026 (09 AM to 03 PM)*
Shutdown of 132/33 kV Grid Station Kulgam. Areas to be affected: Ashmuji, Chambgund, Kilam, Devsar, Sopat, Akhal, Pombai, Yaripora, Parigam, Tarigam, Behibagh, Daderkoot, DH Pora, Ahmadabad, Aharbal, Bhatipora, Hospital, KB Pora, Khull, Gopalpora, Rambhama, Nillow, Arreh, Begam, Sehpora, Kulgam town and adjoining areas.
*18, 25 October, 01 & 08 November 2026 (09 AM to 03 PM)*
Shutdown of 33 kV Habbak Hazratbal line. Areas to be affected: NIT, Kashmir University, Hazratbal Shrine, Habbak, Mallabagh, Rangpora, Habbak Crossing, Umer Colony, Mughal Lane, Kanitar, Hazratbal and adjoining areas.

Shutdown of 33 kV Pampore-SIDCO line. Areas to be affected: Khrew, Wuyan and Cement Plants.
*21 October 2026 (10 AM to 03 PM)*
Shutdown of 33 kV Lissar-Kokernag line. Areas to be affected: Kokernag, Vailoo, Dandipora and adjoining areas.
*19 & 22 October 2026 (10 AM to 03 PM)*
Shutdown of 33 kV Wanpoh-Qaimoh line. Areas to be affected: Qaimoh, Khudwani, Redwani, Rehpora, Matalhama and adjoining areas.

Shutdown of 33 kV Dandipora Ichhu/ Mawar SHP line and 33 kV Veer Zirpora Tapline. Areas to be affected: Dandipora, Veeri, Nowbugh, Guree, Kanalwan and adjoining areas.
*21 October 2026 (09 AM to 03 PM)*
Shutdown of GSS Zainakote. Areas to be affected: Nehalpora, Mirgund, Singhpora, Narbal, Kawoosa, Lawaypora, Suzait, Sanoor, Malpora, Redbugh, Railway Station Mazhama, Soibugh, Daharmuna, Wadwan, Russu, Pymus, Shariefabad, Durbal and adjoining areas.

Shutdown of 132/33 kV Grid Station Lisser. Areas to be affected: Kokernag, Soaf, Sagam, Bidder, Dooru, Nowgam, Chowgund, Qammer Hiller, Sadiwara, Verinag, Vailoo, Dandipora, Hiller, Shankerpora, Larkipora, Aarkashipora and adjoining areas.
KPDCL has requested consumers of the affected areas to bear with the Corporation and take necessary precautions.
