JAMMU :
Inspector General of Police, Jammu Zone, Tejinder Singh, today chaired a meeting to review the overall policing arrangements and preparedness of the Jammu district, with focus on strengthening the security grid and ensuring effective policing at the ground level.
During the meeting, detailed discussions were held on winter preparedness, with officers directed to ensure necessary arrangements and operational readiness to meet challenges during the winter season.
The IGP Jammu stressed upon visible policing through regular foot patrols, effective area domination and increased police presence at vulnerable locations. Officers were also directed to strengthen naka checking and maintain effective surveillance to prevent criminal and anti-social activities.
Officers were directed to ensure timely completion of investigation and disposal of pending cases, besides taking effective preventive measures against repeat and habitual offenders.
The IGP Jammu further emphasized tenant verification, directing officers to ensure proper verification of tenants and other persons residing in rented premises.
The meeting concluded with directions to all concerned officers to remain vigilant, maintain close supervision of field arrangements and ensure responsive and people-oriented policing across the Jammu district .
